Dear CarguruI changed both front brakes , both front Calipers of my 1997 nissan maxima, I also changed the brake hose for passenger side brakes as per your advise. For a few days my car ran v.smoothly but again it has started giving me same trouble as before.i.e after driving about 8-9 miles I feel my brakes being jammed and my car losses its speed and if I remove my foot from the pedal the car stops and I smell burning smell. At this time if I stop my car and put cold water on my front Brakes , wait a few minutes then start my car ....I t runs like new and v.smooth, But the problem does not go away same thing happens again the next day and again. Please advise ASAP. Thanks

It is the master cylinder,if you have replaced, the rest, and i know you think you are doing good by putting water on the rotor,s and brake,s when they get hot,but this doe,s damage to them by warping the rotor,s and crystalizing brake pad,s,change the master cylinder.

It sound like your brake booster diaphragm is bad try replacing your brake booster

I had that problem and it was a collapse brake hose you cant tell from the outside of the hose, I had to take it off and run air through the hose to find out it was collapse
