Was looking for the King Cobra

I think '71 or '72 was the first King Cobra.

Cobra or Cobra II? the KING Cobra was a 1978 only. The first cobra to my knoledge (in mustangs) was 1967 Shelby GT350 & 500. the Cobra II was 76, the Cobra name carried on into the Fox Body generation up to 82 i believe. then in 93 it came back again. I have a 77 Mach 1. I hope this helps

Finnaly someone that know`s what he is talking about ....thanks man....My King was a 78 and my 76 was a cobraII....and yes the first Cobra came out in 67 and Mr.Carol Shelby still,until this day ownes it.......thanks for your answer.And yes you are right it did stay around but was so damn ugly *LOL* big mistake from Ford...that is why Mr.Shelby never put his name on it again until the 2000 version.

Sorry I forgot to mention the first Cobra ever was in the 50`s...witch is where all those kit cars all come frome...they were built for racing....and also available to the public "IF" you were rich....*LOL*

During the FOX chassis mustangs model run the cobra models where offered from 1979-1981 and then again in 1993. In Canada the "Cobra" name was attached to most GT mustangs. They where the same GT mustang as what was offered in the states with a "Cobra" sticker on the trunk lid.

I hearya man but they were all UGLY....and the Camaro could beat them.......right off the esembly line......they were not real cobra`s. Even my 1983 Z28 beat their buts....*LOL*....and still do until this day...even though I did put a little juice under my hood.......Cobra`s are not what they used to be. Give me a real Cobra and I will be happy ....until then......I still do 11.5 on the !/4 with my small block 350 Chev in my Z 28......I love Cobra`s but Ford has to step up.....cause if a little back yard mecanic can beat them......something is wrong and NOOOoooo I don`t beleive in NOS......all original old fashion horse power here

What a beautiful girl she is !! In the 80s my dad had a fast back 427 cobra jet had shade like material on back window red with black striping i may have the numbers wrong buy i remember it had a cobra jet rip dad

I have a car i cant find production of its a 95 5.0 convertible gts it has cloth seats but does have electric locks windows and a 5 speed...my vin says its a 4 speed but its stock 5 speed because i had a 3.73 gear and gt40 upper and lower intake and 70mm thtottle body cold air induction..im 38 and the most motor i had before was a 2.3 lol so its like a jet to me..but i just got a front wheel drive grand prix gxp 5.3 lieter and man i think there close the gxp with my few updrades has about 330 hp 385 tq
