want to buy a 240sx Nissian 1996. what are some of the problems.

That is a pretty good car and the engine is strong but what I have seen is over heating issues and timing chain breakage, other than that no real issues other than regular maintenance.

That's right, only maintenance. rust is a concern!, i have never encountered overheating, or a timing chain breaking. the timing chain will make some noise due the chain guides. the KA is a strong as hell motor, never had any issues with it. so IF your buying the 240, check for rust!!!!!! Check the frame and the floor mainly. if your were buying a 94 and under, check everywhere lol! good luck!

Don't buy the car from anyone under 40 lol

Check the truck, two corners under the carpet by the tail lights, usually rusting, check rockers and floor, strut towers, areas around the trunk, and around the windshield, any rust on the rockers or floor, walk away.
