My 1996 maxima passenger side back up light is out. I replaced the bulb and still nothing. what else can it be ?

Verify correct bulb. Check other side and try new bulb in socket of working reverse light. Be sure you have ground and voltage at the light socket. If one is working and not the other, most likely the issue is at the reverse lamp socket
