1968 impala restoration project

Asked by Guru1Q5Q7 Oct 08, 2019 at 08:00 PM about the 1968 Chevrolet Impala 4 Door Hardtop Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am restoring a 1968 impala 4 door sedan. It is
missing a lot of its trim, back window, back door
windows, rear end, steering column. Just a whole
bunch stuff. I found a 1969 impala 4 door sedan
that has all that. Will the 69’s parts work on my 68?

Dang, can you tell what size rear end I need for this 68. Iv seen a lot of people saying 10 bolt but a few have told me I need a 12. And is finding old junk yard impalas the only route I got to getting these parts/trim. Or can I order new from somewhere?

Yes a 69 impalas parts will work on a 68 because me and my older brother zilla owned a 68 impala 2 door sedan and it took a 350 v8 with a 700 r4 transmission and 4:10 gears it was swapped from a 69 impala 2 door sedan on my car
