95 Nissan Maxima- how to disable alarm so I can start the car?

Asked by ladykb2016 Jul 30, 2016 at 03:09 PM about the 1995 Nissan Maxima GLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my factory alarm goes off and will not stop,
my remote stopped working
I can not start the car...What could be the issue??
Fyi: I bought the car used 5 years ago... I do not have a key to the door (always used remote) and although I have the key to the truck the latch broke and it doesn't stay closed. All I have is the key to work ignition and remote( which now does not work)

I already tried taking the anti theft fuse out..that just stops the alarm but still can't start it.
I tried putting key in trunk lock...alarm kept going off
I want to disable the antitheft all together so I can start the car to take to the shop.

Yea..I was trying not to have to tow it again. The problem started while I was out to dinner in the city. Locked my doors with remote came back and alarm went off and wouldn't start. I had to tow it 35 miles to get it home. I am hoping to find a way to do this myself to at least get it to start again without spending more money. Thanks anyway

I have the same problem with my 1996 Maxima. I want to completely disable the alarm as it has caused hours of trouble and never once been useful. If it is programmed in then it can be programmed out but I don't know how to do that. Does anyone out there know how to program out this horribly obnoxious, useless car alarm? If you do, please post instructions here. I suppose rerouting the starter could be an option. It is extremely annoying that the car came with this built-in defect without an apparent, easy repair method.
