1969 Chevy Chevelle drive issue?

Asked by Lewis Aug 21, 2020 at 06:39 PM about the 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Sport Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I noticed car does not roll forward in drive when
idling. I have to give it gas for it to go anywhere...it
just started and I can't figure out what issue is. Any
thoughts? Transmission? Brakes? Additionally,
what shocks does anyone recommend for car?
Front and back please. Thanks.

Perhaps your idle speed has dropped a little bit. Shocks? It depends on what you want but I would go with a performance gas charged shock such as KYB or other major brand.
