Overheating can be caused by multiple problems. The radiator would be the next thing to check. Low flow (clogged) will cause overheating. Are there ant cold spots in the radiator? This can show blockage in the radiator. Also check for leaks; have a compression test done to verify no head gasket leaks.

Next step is definitely a compression test to see if coolant is leaking into the cylinders.
