tail lights dont work and its not the bulbs

Clean the battery negative connection to the chassis, and connection to the motor as well....assure that your battery is newer than five years old...establish excellent ground to the chassis...note the grounding of the tail-light as it comes out of the connectors...test the ground back there with an electrical tester~

You may want to check the fuse for the bulbs as well.

on the hatch on the drivers side is a type of compartment behind the tail light, remove it and you'll see a green rectangular box that's probably the cause if your lucky you just need to solder some contacts. Easy stuff and better than buying a new one for $75.
