ether the alternator is getting weak or it can be the battery cable post clams that need to get replace or you might have to tight them they might loose or the battery post are dirty my need to get them clean theres a special tube brush i added a picture of it goodluck and hope this works fr you
Battery is fresh. Posts are clean. Ground is clean. Even if the alternator was weak it should still crank.. ?.
Sounds like dirty/loose battery connections. Also inspect negative cable on frame and motor. If loose or dirty it can cause this type of issue.
Bad alternator wont cause it not to start if battery is fully charged.
Posts are clean. No corrosion. Good connection
Possibly solenoid/starter connections. Also could be starter relay failing.
I had the same issue with my 1996 F-150, I had to replace the ignition because I was able to start the truck without a key, so I got a new ignition. After I got the ignition and installed and all that, it worked great. After a month or so it started having issues. I would get in to start it turn the key to the on position and the dashboard lights come on and all that, turn it to turn over the engine, and it just doesn't do anything. You could sit and do it over and over and it won't turn over. I started thinking it was a linkage problem, nope. If you just sit pull the vehicle out of park into neutral and back into park, turn the wheel left and right and just keep fiddling with the gear shifter, after a while it turns over and starts right up. I havent had the issue for a while but that may be your fix.
