my 1992 Sentra SE-R won't pass smog. needs new Cat. Conv.

My 1992 se-r needs new cat. Conv. But the cheapest I can find is $180. I am a disabled
single mother and no way I can afford that kind of $. Does anyone know of a cheap place
to order it or some inexpensive way to get it to pass for now. Oh btw I'm in Cali

In Cali, the testing is tough- just hope that that's ALL that is wrong with your car- a new cat for $180 is a good deal- I sympathize, because I am a po' boy too, but it is expensive to keep cars on the road- especially in California- I can only afford to live in New Mexico, where there is no testing, and I drive a real old classic car with very few parts that can go wrong-
