Dead Battery... won't jump....won't charge 92 Sentra SE-R

Asked by pasogirl101 Jun 29, 2014 at 11:23 AM about the 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I believe I am dealing with just a dead battery... However I can not get it to jump start with
my boyfriends Ford Explorer and I charged it overnight with a commercial grade battery
charger and all that did was make my interior lights and door chime finally work. 1992

A completely dead battery will sometimes not take a jump start. Check battery voltage. Also check all battery terminals. If any are loose, dirty or old(can not tighten any more) it will also act like a dead battery. Also check tighten and clean the negative battery cable where it attaches to the frame and motor.
