Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car has had the wiring harness replaced. it sat for a year so we put new fuel inside of it. It starts when we spray starter fluid and when given gas it cuts off. Could this be the crank sensor? Or is something else happening here?

just putting in new fuel may not have been enough. you may have to clean out the fuel system entirely. wouldn't hurt to have the fuel pressure tested.

if it sat for a year with no fuel stabilizer the fuel turned to varnish you will have to completely drain the fuel system and clean the varnish out
