No heat or AC

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have no heat or AC but I have the console light up, just
not getting heat. I've changed the blower motor and
checked all fuses and relays and have power to all. I've
checked all harnesses and found no cut or split wires I've
switched out the blower motor resister and still no heat. Is
there something I'm missing here.

Does the AC blow through the vents on the dash, but no heat? If so the blend door actuator, which closes off AC when heat is wanted may be bad. Also make sure the valve which cuts off hot water to the heater core is opening and closing. Check the two hoses going to and from the core. The valve will be on one of them. Also, let the engine get up to operating temp and set to heat with the temp all the way to hot. Feel the hose past the valve. It should be hot as should the return line. If not, the valve is bad or there is a vacuum leak opening the closing the valve, if the vehicle is set up that way.

Thanks for your help, but it was none of the above of what you said. I found a wire that was corroded under the drivers seat that controls the heat and AC .

Count your blessings. The blend door actuator is a 50 buck part and usually buried behind the dash, necessitating the dash be removed to replace. Only 600 bucks or so in labor.
