Yes I have had a lot of work done on my car but
still can't get it inspected due to light being on.
It's drivable.

My question is about my check engine light staying. On it seems no one around here knows nothing it runs and drives great just cant get it inspected

Well, just from experience I believe you have an emissions code. Your car would definitely not pass inspection. These emissions problems, especially if it is an emissions slow leak code. It takes special testing to find it. I would suggest you bring the car into a shop for repair. Once the repairs are made and the code, (s) are cleared, you have to drive the car a certain amount of miles before bringing it back in for emissions testing. Their scanners can tell how many miles you have gone since the trouble codes have ben reset. So keep than in mind.
