accept, reject, counter offers

Asked by Tim and Missy Feb 22, 2018 at 08:25 AM about the 1996 Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT AWD SUV

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I have received 3 "offers" via email from Cargurus. When I go to my inbox, there's no message from these folks. . .just a box that says, "So and so has offered you $xx, do you accept, reject or counter?" I've clicked "accept" and written a personal note back asking if this is legit, but have no further response. Is this a scam? Are these legit offers? What gives?

Sounds like a scam to me. I've never had replies like that, but I also don't have any cars for sale currently so it's POSSIBLE something has changed. But I doubt it.

I have the same question... Offers with no other correspondence. What is my legal obligation if I accept? Don't wanna take an offer and then be tied to them waiting on someone to actually do something.
