not accelerating

My standard car doesn't really seem to have power
when I'm giving it gas, it seems like it wants to just
not go.. it runs but like 1/3 power of what it usually
has

Sounds like it’s in limp mode. To protect the car from causing damage. Or can be Cats clogged.
