is it on constantly,or while driving, any other indicators on also, trac control, stability control, and one more, if all three are on, most likely the computer module, (usually under the center console)...just one, means a single sensor is either faulty, or activated due to loss of traction in one or more of the wheels.....4wd, front???
John is correct and to follow that the reason the trans feels sluggish is because the computer is seeing that there is a wheel slipping and it will try to decrease the engines power output to reduce the slipping.
hi / my old silhouette the light.s that come on and off r abs/tcs/break and when they r on at the same timethe van almost lock.s up is this the speed senser /module and when it goe.s off it relese tx.s
Could be a wheel speed sensor. Have a shop scan it for codes. The light may not be on but it could still be stored in the history. Parts store won't check this. A bad wheel speed sensor will trip the abs and trac lights because both systems rely on the sensors. Idk about the brake light, anything is possible.
