96 Ford Ranger won't shut down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When turning the key to shut down, the motor keeps going  
normally.
After shutting down the  motor  I have been removing the
possitive on the battery so my panel shuts down.
Just replaced the cylinder and no difference.
Any advice on what to replace or repair?

Bad ignition switch. What "cylinder" are you referring to? The lock cylinder? Check below the lock cylinder for the ignition switch.
