where is cam timing mark 01neon 2.0? and does water pump position matter?

always start with no.1 piston at top center.then back up a 1/2 tooth then the cam and hydraulic tensioner and the belt,the cam mark is at top of cam gear ,lines up with cover.some revisions on the loading of tensioner pivot bolt .I would suggest picking up a Haynes book on that car for cheap money and make no critical mistakes .they explain timing belts very common with pictures .if your keeping the car you'll get good use in the long run
