Entering corvette w/dead battery
Asked by GuruDD7BMT Feb 22, 2024 at 07:50 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette 2LT Coupe
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My corvette is stored in a garage. I let it sit too long and the battery is dead. I
can't figure out how to get into the car.
Can anyone give me some ideas?

If you can get a jumper wire from a good battery on the POS. starter wire from under neath and one on a ground that may do the trick
If you have AAA they will be able to get the door unlocked. Perhaps you can pop the hood from outside, underneath the front of the car. Or your local Chevrolet Dealer might be able to help. Talk to someone in the service department. Hope that helps! Jim
Use the key to open the trunk lid. The keyhole is just above the license plate under the lip of the trunk lid. With the trunk lid open look for a pull cable to the left inside the trunk area. Pull on that cable and it will open the driver's door. I once owned a 2006 Vette which is almost identical to yours. There are also door opening pull cables at the left side of the driver's seat and at the right side of the passenger's seat, near the floor. These are used if you get trapped inside with a dead battery or an accident destroys the battery. Read an owner's manual and get familiar with your car.
