I just replaced the timing belt, water pump, and serp belt on my 2000 plymouth breeze, but it seems to have a miss and there is smoke coming out from behind the engine.what would most likelycausethis?
Im a 35yr old female and i can't afford a mechanic, so i usually pay someone i know to
help with fixing my car. Its been one problem after another. Its a 2000 plymouth
breeze...i think 2.4 ltr. The timing belt broke while i was driving about 8months ago,
and i just paid my ex-husband to put on the new timing belt, water pump, and serp belts.
but its got a miss to it mainly when idiling, and white smoke coming from where my ex
said the exhaust is at (kinda close to the dash of the car when u are looking under the
hood). The oil doesn't look tan or milky, and its not overheating. Is it ok to drive like
this? Could it possibly just be that oil spilled and is causing the smoke, or is it
probably something serious? Does a blown head gasket normally cause a car to
smoke? And can u drive a car with a blown head gasket for a little while? sorry...im
probably asking too many questions...this car has just had me so stressed and upset,
that idk what to do. everything costs tooo much.
