Ford E-350 Rear Wheel/Axle seal replacement on full floating axle #34

Asked by Jeremiah Mar 15, 2019 at 11:07 AM about the 2007 Ford E-Series E-350 Super Duty XLT Extended Passenger Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey,
Oil is dripping on my back tires.  The repair shop said I need my rear axle seals
replaced.  My van looks like it is a full float axle because it has a hub that
sticks out about 4 inches.  How would I replace the rear axle seals on the
vehicle?  Also, what tools would I need?

It is a FORD E-350 5.4L XLT

Thanks, JC
