1993 E150 wont run on ether?

I have a 1993 E150 sat for 6 years. I put battery in and it ran but rich
although it cleared open throttle. I used up existing fuel, ran 5 gallons with
seafo
am and drove it - with a miss 1000'.
Oil pressure was low.
Fuel pressure was low. I changed pump. It now will run 1 time every 2
weeks.. Long enough you could almost move distributor.
I put a chain in it, distributor, map, ECM, dist module etc. New plugs, wires
comp is 130lbs. Injectors have power and fire. Will not run on ether.
I am suspecting an oil pressure issue and lifters if it will run every few weeks
and not on ether. Maybe lifters not pumping?

After sitting for 6 years there's water condensation, varnish, and God knows what all else in the fuel system. Running Seafoam through it probably compounded the problem by dislodging a bunch of junk and clogging the fuel filter. You need to drop the gas tank and clean it thoroughly. Plus the fuel lines, and probably replace the fuel injectors as well as the fuel pressure regulator. The ignition system is suspect as well. You should do a complete tune up. New spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and distributor rotor. Make sure the exhaust system is clear too. Critters like to build nests in there! Keep in mind that with compression readings of 130 PSI the engine is tired. It will run, but it's in the sunset of life! Good luck to you! Hope that helps! Jim

Fuel tank is new, filter was changed when I did the pump, injectors were tested out of the vehicle and tune was done last May. I will run every 2 weeks if I disconnect battery.
