I only getting 6 volts to fuel pump when trying to start. Any ideas what could be wrong. This is a new fuel pump I installed thinking this would work.

Are you certain that you're on the fuel pump circuit? It's only active for 3 seconds with the engine off. Have you hooked up a pressure gauge? Have you tried to start the engine by putting some fuel in the intake and cranking it? If you are testing the fuel pump circuit instead of the fuel gauge circuit (which only runs at 6 volts) you should either get 12 V for 3 seconds or no voltage at all. It's the Pink wire with a Black stripe. The Yellow/White wire is for the sender.
