The GT500 5.4L will swap over to all other S197 platform (2005- 2014). Provided your GT500's engine, engine harness, engine control unit, transmission, transmission control module, and drive shaft are all in good shape, you have everything you need to swap. Anything that is not ion working order should be replaced. You should, of course, also beef up the Mustang GT's brakes and suspension components (if in good shape these could swap over as well) to handle the additional torque. Shop prices will very but a reputable Mustang shop should be able to swap everything for you in a a week (assuming they don't work on it non-stop). At this point though, how bad was the damage to the GT500 and could it be repaired for under $5k? A Shelby VIN# in a repaired Shelby is still worth more than a 5.4L swapped Mustang GT.
