What is causing my 2006 Pontiac G6 from not starting infrequently?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently bought a used 2006 Pontiac G6 from someone. The former owner never had
any problems with it. It has approximately 159,000 miles on it. Sometimes it does not
want to start up. I turn the key a few times and it does not work. It just seems to hang
and not want to turn over completely. This happens almost every two weeks. I recently
had a recall for it done just a few days ago for the Body Control Module (BCM) and I
thought that would solve the problem. It does need new spark plugs and a tune up
which I can do on my own. I just don't know what to do if I should go ahead and get the
spark plugs replaced and see if it fixes the problem. If it still continues then I just
wasted on parts that would not have helped it. I need advice and suggestions please.

I have owned my 06 G6 since 2007 and I have the same problem, it happens occasionally for no apparant reason. I do know I seem to go through a battery a year!

Yeah but is there a way to correct it so that it never does it again? Would using Heet in the gas tank before i refuel work? i know i have to give it a little gas in order for it to start which is not required on a fuel injected car. Could it be a dirty or clogged fuel line, injector? it is driving me nuts and I need a definitive answer for this problem.
