EGR valve

I bought a 2006 Pontiac Torrent with 233,000 miles on it. The check eng light
has been on since purchased...i was able to pass emissions in AZ with it
on..the car always puttered on the  first drive of the day and randomly  hard
shift into R...ive been driving it for 8 months and the eng light started blinking
on my way to work..found out it was misfiring...it came with a new  egr valve in
the box..so i put that on yestrday and it seems that the putt, putt that i was
used to has stopped...but its having an issue starting...and the t/c light came
on driving home today.....where/what should i look into next..thanks for

Good answer, Ed. It is normal for the TC light to come on with a wheel sensor failure but remember, you still have brakes, just not ABS so be cautious.
