Asked by Jeremy Jul 07, 2013 at 02:54 PM about the 2005 Pontiac Bonneville SLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed my alternator when it was not in normal operating parameters. Now, if I leave
my A/C on for the hotness of Summer. The car will not start. I am really trying to wrap my
head around this, but I do not have the slightest clue. Can you please offer any advice?

Will it crank over but not start or not crank over at all?

Not sure unless battery old and don't have enough cold cranking amps to turn it over with a/c clutch ingaged. Might want to check all connections to in sure they are clean and tight. Also check frame and body grounds. I will do some checking to see if other owners are having similar issues.
