When I put a cd in the 2005 Pontiac v6 it acts like is going to take it but it doesn't any suggestions

The CD carrier is probably sticky. When the motor encounters resistance it automatically reverses direction and ejects the CD. If you're handy you can disassemble the unit and clean the carriage tracks. Or you can buy a can of contact cleaner and spray TINY amounts into the CD slot near the corners, testing with an old CD each time until the carriage runs properly. Do NOT use spray lubricant! And avoid spraying into the center of the slot as you will end up coating the laser, which will definitely put you in the "new player" category.
