Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 Pontiac Montana says to service the ABS System and the AWD is turned off.  Also there is a whining in the back when I turn in either direction in a slightly tigh turn, what needs to be done?

Anytime your ABS warning lamp is illuminated does not necessarily mean your ABS functionality is disabled. If you have a whining in the rear of the vehicle you could potentially have a ton of different issues. Wheel bearing, bearing issue in the rear differential, over running clutch for the rear drive either in the PTU or rear diff assy, etc. it also could be as simple as a low fluid condition in a driveline component. GM dealer is the way to go especially for a late model Pontiac AWD. That chassis is fairly in depth
