how does reliability compare to 2005 prius

Well these are two different autos. This is like comparing apples to oranges, One is a "fuel-miser eco car" and the other is a "entry level sport-cute". My bro (he works at a very large Toyota dealer) says the Prius is a car that "you get what you pay for" yes it is good on gas. That is all he said about it. The Vibe is a GM/Toyota venture (the Vibe/Matrix are the same car). The funny is that the Vibe (early model) is a problem-matic car, so much so that the Pontiac dealers in the area say "GM's most problem-matic car is a Toyota". I have driven both of the cars you have mentioned and they are two very different cars. To me the Vibe was a nice little SUV type car, how ever I did not like the AWD model, The Prius is a great "mileage" car, but the ride is not that smooth and the car feels "cheap", Again these are my own thoughts and views.
