2003 Montana hood will not open

Montana hood will not open : the release is not working or the release is
stretched

I've had this happen a number of times in my shop, usually have someone hold down on the hood while someone else pulls the release will let the latch release. If that doesn't work then try a thump on the hood. Once you get it open lube the daylights out of the latch assembly.
