I have a 1996 ford Taurus windshield wipers won't turn unless u shake the wires under the dash but won't continue to work and when u turn them on the radio shuts of and there is a clicking noise

Remove the steering column cover and check the connectors at the turn signal (Multifunction) switch. Usually, the noise you hear is the wiper module rattling the relays. Often, the multifunction switch (or at least the wiper portion of it) has gone bad
