MY daylight flickers on and off then turns off completely and then the service light soon comes on what can be causing it, what can i do to fix it?

i have a 2002 pontiac sunfire and everytime i put the car in reverse, the daylight flickers on and off then turns off completely  and then the service light soon comes on what can be causing it, what can i do to fix it?

Describe what you refer to as a "daylight" and maybe someone can help.

That is GM symbol for headlight issues... The service light with a wrench symbol is a non emissions light. GM uses this light for oil change (based on oil condition) and headlight issues. The reset process once these are fixed is comical but easy to do. You need to (while car is off) pump gas 1 time & break 1 time; Then turn your key to the on (but not cranked) positions; pump the gas 3 times, press and hold the break 15 seconds; turn the car to off and then crank it and the reset is complete.

DRL:Daytime running lights. The problem starts with a dim headlight so people buy LED headlights to fix the problem but then the LED DRL position doesn't work and flickers. The lights still work in the on position but not in the daylight position. Some guy mentioned he didn't ground bypass to solve all these electrical problems ..I'm still looking for that post.
