'trac off' light on, air intake not reading

Asked by wyvlen001 Feb 12, 2018 at 05:23 PM about the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My pontiac sunfire's 'trac off' light came on, so the
transmission shifts terribly. We tried to diagnose
the problem and all we found was that the air
intake isn't reading properly (its says the temp is at
-40 °F) despite having the wires and the module
replaced just recently. We checked the wires, and
they're in good condition. Idk what's up.

The air intake sensor is bad..i unplugged mine once and it did the same thing..easy to replace fairly cheap ..especially on Amazon. It's located on the air intake hose the goes from the air filter to the throttle body
