Headlights won't go up

The headlights won't go up but if you hold them
both inch or so up and then then they will go up
how could I fix this

Sounds like the motors that control the motion need to be rebuilt or replaced. Kits are sold for the rebuild as well as the entire motor assemblies but the rebuild is the cheap and easy way to go after you see the price for a motor.
