Why is my car still over heating

My 2001 Pontiac sunfire keeps over heating we have
changed the water pump the themostat and its still
running hot

There are SOOOO many possible reasons for overheating, especially on older cars. Could be head gasket trouble, plugged tubes inside the radiator, dirt or other crud embedded in the fins of the radiator, air in the system, thermostat installed upside down, to name a few.
