One blinker doesn't work

Asked by dammitpogi Mar 05, 2016 at 09:49 PM about the 2001 Pontiac Sunfire SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've replaced the bulbs and the flasher.
When I turn my lights on all bulb light up.
Including the turn signal bulbs. However
when I flip my lever for the left signal only
the front one fires and blinks very rapidly. If
I flip left both the front and rear blink
normally. Only the left rear blinker is out
and it isn't the bulbs or the flasher unit. I
need help. Thank you for any advise.

Could be corrosion or a bad contact in the bulb socket (if you are certain it is not the bulb and the correct bulb is being used). I say this because your description is exactly what happens when one filament in the two filament bulb is blown.
