It's called weather stripping adhesive , It's VERY sticky don't get it on anything but where you want it
One better is automotive silicone adhesive, it comes in colors so it’s not as obvious if you make a mistake putting it on.
You can also replace the emblem with a new old stock one from ebay. That's what I did with my 94 Fleetwood. The "Cadillac" emblem on the trunk was missing and I could see where someone had tried gluing it back on with Elmer's Glue. I used "Goo Gone" and a plastic scraper to remove the rest of the old adhesive. Then I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol before sticking the new emblem on. When putting your new emblem on be absolutely sure of exactly where you want it. You only get one chance because, as beatupchevy said, the adhesive is VERY sticky! Jim
