cvoci, I couldn't find instructions for you on the web so I will refer you to your local library where you should be able to find a Chilton's manual for your T-Bird. If not you can check out your nearest book store. Failing all of that there are several manuals on sale on e-bay. Here's a link to the search I just ran. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&catref=C6&from=R10&mppfqy=Chiltons+Thunderbird&submitsearch=Search&satitle=Chiltons+Thunderbird&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=ZIP%2FPostal&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1 The Chilton's will help you get through the job. Hope that helps. Good luck.

there should be a release on the back of it. probably a bolt you can turn a bit with a ratchet to loosen the belt. If not there is another type of release that I am not sure of.
