Engine swap

I have a 1996 thunderbird lx it's the SOC
4.6 I recently acquired a mark 8 and am
wanting to throw the engine am down
trans into my thunderbird. Will there a lot of
hassle to transplant the DOHC from the
mark 8? Also thinkin of using the IRS from
the mark 8. Any info or ideas are helpful

Yes, lots of work and planning are required. The 4.6 SOHC 2 valve, 3 valve and the DOHC 4 valve have many differences their NOT plug and play material. Learn engine management control systems before you get into this..EEC units are all different. Sean Hyland has done decent testing, read his books for an overview of Ford 4.6 engines. The Thunderbird's IRS is fine as stock if you want to play add the Super Coupe rear bar.
