Yeah.. a couple hundred bucks at best. If you are handy though, the engines are very cheap from the junk yard since there were so many 3.8s made. It may be in your best interest to repair then sell.
Problem with replacing the motor is what will go wrong next. Could put a used motor in & end up with worse problems. It's probably time to move on & scrap it.
I agree gustang.. Which is why i said to repair then sell. ;-)
So it sounds like jhugie4 should get the price of a motor and then figure out what the car will bring selling it. If jhugie4 can make a good profit, then fix it & sell it.
I put golden star motor oil sae 30 into my poniac Bonneville and I stay seeing my engine smoke a lil what dose the mean or did I use the wrong oil
