My 2000 Bonneville Sls won't start, but starts when it wants to

Asked by Anna Mar 01, 2017 at 12:43 PM about the 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Beautiful 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SL that has leather seats great
everything tires the surround sound, brand new fuel pump, brand new starter,
fixed the power steering. I think everything is going beautiful, I stop at the
mall, come back, and it won't start, so I call my mechanic, he gets all his
sensors and checked the spark plugs and he said the engine wasn't getting
any spark. Why does it start when it wants to? I am so sad and confused,
please somebody help me.

Sounds like the Ignition Control Module. The engine heat will affect them when they start to go bad.
