Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My security light is flashing, everything has power
but won't turn over. Tried all kinds of stuff . Leaving
key on for 10 mins, the light doesn't quit flashing
like it says it should. Is the only thing to try now is
bypass the VATS?

I'm in the same boat and hasn't found an answer yet. I'm looking at VATS bypass on eBay, but i think you need to measure the resistance in the key first so you know which one to purchase. Hope you can, and me, figure this out
Have either of you tried to disconnect the battery the positive lead or the ground lead to completely disconnected battery for say an hour or more and let any built-up battery power in the system memory 2 be totally gone and see if that works have you tried that yet?
Do a Google search on relearning your GM key that might help too maybe you have already looked for that I'm not sure but there is a certain procedure were you have to turn it on and off a certain amount of times and then leave it on and then it learns the new key do a search for that and that might help you.
Additionally you should be able to buy the key blanks blank keys on eBay and you just have to know which particular key you need I forgot how you do that but if you do a search online they'll tell you how to do that and you just go online for your particular blank key that you need to buy and then go get it cut and then you do the key relearn procedure and that should satisfy the Vats system good luck guys.
