2000 Montana overheating and no heat.
I've been driving my dad's 2000
Montana and it randomly overheats,
the gauge will read fine then it will
quickly raise to the red line and then it
will suddenly drop back down abd be
fine, also the heat is very sporadic.
The heat won't work at all then it
randomly will for a little while then it
will go out again all within 20 minutes.
Would I be wrong to think it's just an
air pocket, or could it be something
more serious? He had it taken into a
shop and I remember her said that
they couldn't flush the coolant system
because it would damage the heater
core because of sediment in the
system I believe. Should I try to bleed
the air out of the system?
