Oil gauge at max then drops then stays at max?

I changed my oil on 99 bonneville , and when I start
my car my oil gauge jumps to max  then jumps  
back down and then stays at max. I searched the
www and one said I have an reset in glovebox,
nope,  next one said to turn car over and push acc
pedal 5-10 times for 10 secs, nope. What gives?

there's no leaks ?, right filter and everything ? the best thing you can do is hook up an oil pressure gauge to get an actual l reading , if you din;t have oil pressure you'd know it . the gauge may be bad or something else may have gone bad by pure coincidence

No leaks, right filter. I had my car serviced at a shop and they " supposedly" changed filter and oil sender

Normal oil pressure at idle in drive is about 30 to 35 warm. Cold about 40psi. acceleration or revving motor is above 45 to 50 or a little higher. No big deal. Drive it and enjoy.
