2021 Honda Civc and Insight catalytic converter location

Asked by Guru9VQCSB Apr 20, 2021 at 12:29 AM about the 2021 Honda Civic LX FWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I need a new car and am thinking about either the 2021 Honda Civc or Insight.
Catalytic converters are often stolen in my neighborhood so I need a car where
the catalytic converter is located under the hood so it's hard to steal.  Where is
the catalytic converter located in the new Civic and Insight?

You might want an electric car or better yet move. I don't know of any car that is safe from having the cat stolen. If it is a bolt in cat you can have it welded on at a muffler shop.

The lower the car the better, then thieves can't crawl under the vehicle without jacking it up.

Thieves carry small floor jacks and battery powered sawsalls and can pretty much get to any convertor.

I was told that CC in the 2021 Insight is much harder to steal because it's way up in the engine....my dealership told me this....
