Ws6 won’t start

I have a 99 ws6 trans am and we put i new starter on it
and it just clicks won’t turn over? No security light dash
light come on fine anyone have any idea about this?

After double checking your wiring removed when you put in the new starter and making sure all connections are free of corrosion, I would suspect your battery is weak. Can you jump the car to start it? If you can this would also indicate a battery issue.
