my car keeps dying while driving

Take it to a shop that you trust and let them check for any codes that may have been recorded. Leave the car so they can experience the problem first hand or call for a tow the next time it happens and have it delivered to the repair shop you had pull the codes. Chasing phantoms like this is best left to the people that have the resources to find the problem. Good luck.
I too had the same problems as you and many others have had. I found the culprit through blind luck and it turned out to be a corroded grounding block under the carpet just below the driver side door. The fuel pump along with the power windows some other functions are all grounded at this block. When it corrodes you will get all sorts weird happenings around you including the fuel pump shutting off and stalling the engine.
